FIELD SURVEY/SITE CHECK
Field Survey/Site Check #1: September 17, 2014
Images and Videos captured from 9/1-9/17/14
Images and Videos captured from 9/1-9/17/14
FIELD SITE #1: DISTURBED AREA
TRAIL CAMERA 1:
We captured a whopping 1,374 images on our trail camera at our Disturbed Area field site! However, we quickly discovered the culprit... A young willow branch and a few windy days can surely fool a trail camera! After weeding out the windy day images, we found that this field site was a high traffic area for many species: humans and their canine pals, Sitka Black-Tailed Deer, birds, and even a few mysterious visitors. Here are a few highlights:

Sitka Black-tailed Deer Visitors (Odocoileus hemionus sitkensis)

Human Visitors (Homo sapiens) Possible canine visitor (Dog? Wolf?) |
Our trail camera captured 77 images at our Forest Area field site. We had several visits from Sitka Black-tailed Deer and Black Bear, a couple of humans and their canine friends, as well as a few unknowns... Here are some of the highlights:
